I am also a Tampa Bay area attorney. I am about to file a lawsuit against a day care facility for damages for the death of my St Bernard. They left him out in the heat that we have been having for approximately an hour. He suffered a heat stroke and after 4 days in intensive care and having incurred vet bills exceeding $7,500, he died. I have begun my research and realize the law, while still somewhat gray, favors the day care in terms of the type of damages available. I was wondering if you are aware of any cases that are particularly favorable to my position or factors that may assist me. thanks

What a lovely thing you're doing, Suzanne. I haven't had a dog since childhood but Frankie reminds me so much of my black Labrador mix, Prince. He had a white part on him like Frankie's in the above photo.
